"Nothin' tastes sweet, wet, salty and dry
all at once as well as pie.
Apple, pumpkin, mince and black bottom -
I'll come to your place
every day if you've got 'em.
Pie. Me oh my, I love pie."

Those shards are terrible on little feet. A broom doesn't help. Use a damp cloth and it picks them up pretty good. They go everywhere too! (Course you have a clean floor by then)

They also break if you drop them on concrete... Otherwise, Corelle is fairly indestructible! My parents still have some with little harvest gold flowers around the edges - totally retro!

Your pie pouches look deeelicious!! I wish I could snatch a piece of the apple right thru the screen ... dang it, it doesn't work.

And yea, those Corelle dishes don't really break, they splinter into oodles & oodles of pieces ... a multitude of thin shards of Corelle everywhere!

I don't know about all Corelle, but these say 'Microwavable, no stovetop or broiler'. That makes me think they'd be fine for all other heating applications - oven, grills, lasers, blowtorches... :)

Be careful though, cuz when they break, they break into a gazillion little pieces. Oh, they also break when you drop them on your hard tile floor. Mom found that one out the hard way.

I just heard that the only way to break a Corelle dish is to knock it against another Corelle dish. It makes me want to get some from the thrift store and conduct experiments...

I never knew you could put Corelle in the oven. Is it all Corelle or just some super-duper Corelle?
