I’m really just posting this because I’m tired again and nothing special happened today. (I slept a lot.) I looked back through ‘possible post’ pictures and came across these. I like my Swiffer, but I don’t like the disposable cloths. I like to use a damp washcloth. We have a whole stack of white washcloths from WalMart ($5 a dozen, I believe) and they get used for everything in the kitchen. Anyway, the most satisfying part is after you’ve mopped your floor with them, as I do religiously twice a year -
- the dirt that accumulates is so satisfyingly gross. Then just flip it over and use the other side. If I’m doing the whole first floor I just keep rinsing out the same cloth.

Remind me not to use one of your kitchen washcloths to wash my face.
Oh, you don’t want to know what I use the bathroom washcloths for.
You’ll be really proud of me Lauren, knowing that I also use both sides of my Swiffer cloth. Yay! However the proudness stops short because I do use the disposable ones. And sometimes (most times) I’m too lazy to get out the Swiffer so I just use my feet as the mop…does that help the environment any?

But what about all the chemicals involved in cleaning those dirty pieces of cloth? Detergents, bleaches,… And the extra water it takes…?
No chemicals here. I beat my laundry against a rock in the river and use tree bark as soap.
Wasteful! of water and tree bark!
