I’ll admit it – I like ramen noodles. Yeah, they’re probably terrible for you, but I like how salty they are. However, I’m reaching the stage in life when I regret eating them the second after I’ve swallowed the last bite.
Anyway, this story is about directions. We always buy ramen noodles in a big bulk package because they’re incredibly cheap and convenient. But we messed up buying them last time and accidentally grabbed a box of ‘Instant Lunch’ containers – the kind that come in terrible, earth-ruining, but now recyclable! (number 6) containers.
Lloyd was hungry and decided to eat one. ‘Yay’ for Lloyd for ‘cooking’! He read the directions on the side:

Blah, blah, blah boil some water, pour in, wait. He noticed it said, “Microwave directions: See lid for details”.

Um, “In a separate microwaveable container, bring water to a boil. Then follow steps 1, 2, and 3 above.” Boy, now that I type this out and actually read it, the directions don’t seem all that stupid. They’re probably telling you NOT to microwave the styrofoam or it will melt.
Dnag. This was supposed to be funny.

“It’s so easy a cow can do it!”
OR
“Two out of three cows prefer Maruchan”
OR
“It’s cowlicious!”
I think he’s going to graze on the bar code.
Speaking of, have you seen these?
I hope you get Lloyd that barcode clock for Christmas.
They are awesome!
For the record, I have been buying Ramen noodles for two decades now. And, I’m pretty sure I have always bought the same brand…but until this very morning, I always thought the brand name was Machuran.
Apparently sometimes my meticulous attention to detail fails me.
No, Beth, I’m sure the ones you were purchasing were spelled differently. I’m sure of it.
Great for hiking -- add some packaged chicken or tuna or dehydrated if you’re super-light, and salty, meaty noodley goodness is all yours! Yummy! (but definitely repackage into a ziplock freezer bag to enable easy carry-out of the garbage.)
What?? So when you go hiking you stash your noodles in the garbage??
Why does a milking stool only have 3 legs?
Because the cow has the udder. HA!
Everybody Loves Ramen!
Always a classic!
I totally microwave the styrofoam. It really kills the easy factor to have to have another container. I hope that my 3 eyed children will agree that the 3rd eye really makes things easy too…
HA!
