Gadget

UPDATE: Happy Birthday to Deborah, who just called to tell me it’s her birthday. :) I, my unfortunate friends, am a bad friend.

I haven’t shown you the new blender yet. I’ve actually been looking for one for a few months because my old blender is kaput. I always take it to school when we make paper, and this last time we splashed a little too much paper pulp into the buttons.
It was a thrift-store find.

I really wanted an upscale model with a glass jar, but they cost a gazillion dollars that I’m not willing to shell out to make three mudslides a year. I found this gadget-y one at Younkers for half-price. It folds up.

It even has cord storage.

Well, not ‘folds’, but you get the idea. As I was patting myself on the back for such a great deal, I looked up blender reviews and found out I paid nearly the full price for what other stores charge. Stupid Younkers.

You make paper and mudslides in the same blender? I guess that wouldn’t be all bad. It could add fiber to the mudslides. Or alcohol to the paper…

More importantly, do you see Lauren’s slanty bed couch back there by Lloyd’s feet? Eleven degrees.

Yes, I like folding. Recently I put my blender in the basement because it was taking up too much room. It has a glass jar and I still don’t like it too much.

I have a nice blender with a glass jar. If you make mudslides three times a year, I generously offer up my blender for those occasions. I’ll even deliver it and pick it up, and consume the contents with you!
