Disassembled understructure/drawers & moved them out of the room. Bolted box spring halves together. Put mattress & box spring on floor, supported at head by concrete blocks. Crabbed about how ugly it is. :) The bed skirt might come at some point - what I don't like is how much shorter it is than our old bed. The headboard looks ridiculously high now. Nutshell version:
